I liked Berlin Station...for the most part well written and well acted...
I enjoy a decent spy drama as much as the next man, this one fit the bill nicely.Rhys Ifans' American accent was atrocious at the best of times.
You need to pay attention to everything. Excellent and unlredictable.
Sometimes, I'm at loss as why some reviewers have such abnormal and illogical expectations from a series and decide to belittle and trash it at all cost, not feeling or not wanting to feel its vibe nor sense it.I say so because IMO, Berlin Station was a very good and interesting series, in all its 3 seasons, with good writing, beautiful soundtrack & cinematography, nice plots and professional acting.
I loved almost every episode. I have no idea what the CIA is like in real life.
To a time before film franchises, infinite remakes, comic book based, CGI driven drivel aimed at the video game addicted, tatooed year round shorts wearing backward baseball cap crowd. When a modicum of patience, close attention and intellect was required for maximum enjoyment.
I hate to see it cancelled after season 3 but all in all worth the watch. Season 1 & 2 I highly recommend.
Just another spy program which can be found on nearly every network. There were a couple good ideas but not much originality, but the casting threw me under the bus.
I actually quite liked season 1, sure there were some plotholes but all in all the setup was decent. Then season 2 was far worse and done rather sloppy where they just didn't seem to know what direction to go for.
